New addition to the Airlink Stream 35: PROP GUARDS

Prop Guards. Pretty much exactly what they sound like.

These guards transform your nimble little Airlink Stream 35 into a whoop style machine, adding an extra layer of protection when flying around people, objects, or tighter spaces.

Don't worry, it will still dive, flip, and generally misbehave exactly as you'd expect from an Airlink. It just does it with a bit more safety in mind.

The guards are made from carbon fibre for maximum strength with minimal weight, keeping the Airlink Stream 35 comfortably under the 250 g mark. The mounting screws are fully countersunk for a clean, smooth finish with nothing sticking out to catch on obstacles.

This isn't designed to replace your 2 inch cinewhoop. Instead, it fills the gap between tiny indoor whoops that struggle outdoors and in the wind, and larger 5 inch drones that can be intimidating in tighter environments. You get the confidence and safety of prop guards, while still retaining the performance, wind handling, and flight time that the Airlink Stream 35 is known for.

What about flight time? The guards will reduce your flight time from 15min to 14.15min, only 45 seconds penalty!

Swapping between the standard landing gear and the prop guards takes about 30 seconds. Simply remove four screws, swap the assembly over, and you're ready to go.

THE STORY

As a professional FPV pilot, I couldn’t find a sub 250gr drone that actually did what I needed: long flights, clean footage, and reliable FPV streaming.
So I built one.
While working on OnAirLink (yes, shameless plug: onairlink.com), I set out to design a frame specifically for long duration FPV streaming. Over a year of development later, and AIRLINK STREAM was born.
A 4-inch unibody frame that stays under 250gr, flies for 15+ minutes, and keeps the stack electronics semi-encased for protection and performance.
Long flight times don’t happen by accident. They come from careful design and very specific component choices.

WHAT IT'S FOR (and what it isn't)

This frame is designed for professional work, but it also excels at cruising, medium-range flights, and any application where efficiency matters.
This is not a freestyle frame in its stock configuration.
Can you run tri-blade props? Indeed, and with a 3.5 inch on 1404 motors, it excels in agility at expense of flight time.
What you get is an incredibly light, floaty feel, smooth dive recoveries, and exceptional efficiency.
This is not a 5-inch replacement. It’s a different class entirely.
Where it shines is long, clean flights, especially when streaming and chasing fast moving subjects.

PRICING (yes, it's expensive)

For a 4-inch frame yes, it’s expensive.
The raw frame alone costs me 3/4 of the price.
Add all prints, hardware, packaging, and over a year of R&D, and this quickly stops being a budget product.
This frame is aimed at professionals. If the price doesn’t make sense to you, it probably isn’t for you, and that’s fine. Cheaper clones will surely come along.
This isn’t a mass market product.
It’s a machine built for pros, who know exactly why it exists.

An incredibly challenging shoot, with more than a few setbacks (council… wink wink😘), but carried by an exceptional team who did the real heavy lifting. With @tri.mov delivering such a standout edit under the direction of @mateo_akira , I can confidently say this is one of the best looking projects I was involved in during 2025.
